The Olympic Complex is located close to the Kopet Mountains in Ashgabat city center, an excellent location in terms of transportation routes. This complex, which will host the 2017 “Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games” (AIMAG), will consist of multipurpose structures and premises suitable for different sporting events.

The overall concept of the project was prepared by Polimeks, and has been designed by international project and engineering companies experienced in the design of world-famous sports facilities where major sporting events, such as the Olympic Games, have been held.

The Olympic Complex project completed in three phases. First phase of project has been already completed; Polimeks is responsible for the architectural/engineering designs, construction and landscaping of social facilities including the facilities for various sports branches, hotels, accommodation and restaurants for the athletes, and commercial centers and recreational facilities. As such, the premises to be built by Polimeks are the 5,000-capacity water sports facility, 4,000-capacity tennis facility, 5,000-capacity indoor athletics facility, a 450-bed VIP hotel, residences for athletes, cultural centers. Within the first phase of the project; 6,000-capacity indoor velodrome, 15,000-capacity team sports arena, 5,000-capacity individual sports arena, outdoor sports areas, a media center, an 800-bed hotel, business center

kapasiteli otel, iş merkezi, 1000 koltuk kapasiteli restaurant, açık spor sahaları, yapay göl, açık / kapalı otoparklar, antrenman tesisleri, futbol sahası ve atletizm pistinden oluşan 1000 kişi kapasiteli çok amaçlı spor tesisi, açık kafeteryalar yer almaktadır. Ayrıca uluslararası spor federasyonların gerekliliklerine uygun hale getirilen 45.000 kişilik kapasiteye sahip olan Olimpiyat Stadyumu da proje kapsamında inşa edilmiştir. Yapılan tüm bu tesislerle; karate, judo, boks, bisiklet, tenis, yüzme, halter, atletizm, jimnastik, futbol, basketbol, voleybol, hentbol gibi çok değişik spor tiplerinin hem müsabaka hem de antremanlarının yapılması için tüm gereklilikler sağlanmıştır.

Tüm bina ve tesislere ek olarak, proje alanındaki peyzaj ve çevre düzenlemesinde de estetik yaklaşımları, insan trafiği yönetimi gereklilikleri ile birleştirip göz alıcı bir bütünlük sağlanmıştır. Kompleksin ulaşım ihtiyacına ilişkin de, tüm kompleksi çevreleyen ve 5,2 kilometrelik hat uzunluğuna sahip bir monoray sistemi yapılmıştır. Toplam 1.466.400 m² üzerine inşa edilen tesislerin toplam inşaat alanı 1.284.882,69 m²’ yi bulmaktadır.
