Remarkable with its decorative elements and landscaping, the Ashgabat Fountain is composed of large scale systems of water jet displays accompanied with music and light shows through the use of sophisticated technologies.
Founded on an area of 125,000 m2 in Ashgabat, the Pool and Fountain Complex is a monumental project with two entries in the Guinness Book of World Records, one for its size and one for the number of pools. Remarkable for its decoration and landscaping, the complex is made up of large-scale water displays and sprinkler systems, accompanied by music and light shows through the use of sophisticated technologies.
The complex is located at the gateway of the city, easily accessible from the airport and through road transportation routes. The central fountain of the complex features a statue of Oguz Khan upon his horse, hailing visitors with a welcoming gesture. Surrounding him are statues of his sons; Gun (Day) Khan, Ay (Moon) Khan, Yildiz (Star) Khan, Gok (Heaven) Khan, Dag (Mountain) Khan and Deniz (Sea) Khan, signifying the growth of the Turkmen nation.
Structural Characteristics: The fountain ensemble is situated on a total area of 125,000 square meters.
