Television Tower

The TV tower was constructed at the foothills of the Kopet Dag near Ashgabat, 1,020 meters above sea level and it was inaugurated in 2011 during the celebration events of the 20th year of Turkmenistan’s independence. Designed to be 211 meters tall in order to highlight this date, this glorious structure can be seen all over the capital and it was registered to the Guinness World Records thanks to its star with a surface of 3,240 square meters  as the biggest architectural structure of the world in this form.

The large body of the Television Tower is the symbol of the Turkmen state’s steadfast traditions and customs. The tower has an observation deck at 150

meters height and a rotating restaurant at 142 meters. The television tower is equipped with the state-of-the-art technological hardware and it currently hosts 6 television and 5 radio channels.

The TV Tower project was named the best of Europe in the “Public Architecture” category of the European Property Awards 2012 along with Baht Pavilion.

Equipment: 13 studios, 13 rooms for video mixing, audio and video editing, an archive, scenery workshops and storage facilities, a conference hall with a capacity of 250 seating, and an indoor parking lot.
